O Allah, as You graciously blessed us with yet another year after Hijra, may You guide us to the of deeds and best of characters; none can guide to the best of them except You. And save us from the bad of them as none can save from the bad of them except You.
Happy New Islamic *Year 1435 After Hijra.*
The Sacred Months
Allah (SWT) said,
“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve (lunar) months in the register of Allah (from) the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion (i.e. way), so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous (who fear Him).” (9:36)
It is with the wisdom of Allah that He favored some months over others, like favoring the month of Ramadan over all other months, because it is the month of mercy, the month of Qur’an, the month of forgiveness and freeing of people from the Fire. He (SWT) also informed us that He chose four out of these months and made them sacred, emphasizing their sanctity, making sinning in them greater, in addition to, multiplying rewards of righteous deeds during them.
"Of them four are sacred" (9:36)
And the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Three are in succession; Dhul-Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram; and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar."
Which comes between Jumada Al-Aakhirah and Sha’ban. The Prophet said “Rajab of Mudar” to attest to the custom of Mudar, in saying that Rajab is the month that is between Jumada Al-Aakhirah and Sha’ban, not as the tribe of Rabi’ah thought, that it is between Sha’ban and Shawwal, which is Ramadan in the present calendar.
The four Sacred Months were made four, three in succession and one alone, so that the Hajj and Umrah are performed with ease. Dhul-Qa’dah (which means sitting in Arabic), the month before the Hajj month, was made sacred because they refrained from fighting during that month. Dhul-Hijjah (which refers to Hajj in Arabic), the next month, was made sacred because it is the month of Hajj, during which they performed Hajj rituals. Muharram (which means forbidden in Arabic), which comes next, was made sacred so that they are able to go back to their areas in safety after performing Hajj. Rajab (which means remove in Arabic because the Arabs used to remove the heads of their spears and refrain from fighting), in the middle of the lunar year, was made sacred so that those coming from the farthest areas of Arabia are able to perform Umrah and visit the House and then go back to their areas safely.
Allah said next,
"That is the right religion"
That is the Straight Law, requiring implementing Allah’s order concerning the months that He made sacred and their true count as it was originally written by Allah.
"So wrong not yourselves therein"
During these Sacred Months, for sin in them is worse than sin in other months. Likewise, sins in the Sacred City are written multiplied.
Allah (SWT) says in Surat Hajj,
"And whoever inclines to evil actions therein (in Makkah) or to do wrong, him We shall cause to taste from a painful torment" (22:25)
Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, said about Allah’s statement,
"So wrong not yourselves therein"
"Injustice during the Sacred Months is worse and graver than injustice in other months. Verily, injustice is always wrong, but Allah makes things graver than others as He will."
He also said, “Allah has chosen some of His creation above others. He chose Messengers from angels and from men. He also chose His Speech above all speech, the Masajid above other areas of the earth, Ramadan and the Sacred Months above all months, Friday above the other days and Laylatul-Qadr (The Night of Decree) above all nights. Therefore, sanctify what Allah has sanctified, for doing so is the practice of people of understanding and comprehension.”
These four months were called sacred for the gravity of committing a sin during them and for the position Allah gave them.
Ibn Abu Talhah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Allah distinguished these four months and made them sacred, and glorified them; He made sinning during them more evil than during others; and the reward for righteous deeds is greater.”
Being a Muslim is a blessing.
Narrated Abu Umamah:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarreling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.
Prophet ﷺ said “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (dua) He becomes shy to return them empty.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi

Last opened = Last Ramadan?
You have learned so much
And read a thousand books.
Have you ever read your Self?
You have gone to mosque or temple.
Have you ever visited your soul?
You are busy fighting Satan.
Have you ever fought your nafs?
You have reached into the skies,
But you have failed to reach
What’s in your heart!
O Allah, bless us during Rajab and Sha’ban, and let us reach the month of Ramadan. Ameen.
O Allah, Wipe My Tears!
Those people who used to love me now do not care, they stay away. Those people who used to compliment me now insult me; this world has become so quiet. It seems like no one cares for me, no one wants to accompany me, everything has left me in solitude and misery, Ya Allah, wipe away my tears.
Everything we have in this world will be lost, possessions, friends, spouse, lover, and health. But for a true believer whose heart is bonded with strong love and faith, I can guarantee you that he surely has one thing that will never leave his side and He is Allah, the true lover of a believer.
The most Gracious and Benevolent, He is the One you should devote to as He is even closer and even more willing to accompany you during your painful and difficult times, during your hardships and suffering. He is the only one that will never leave you, your true best friend, whom you can believe in to help you as you walk this short journey of life.
Is there anyone who is willing to accompany you when you need it? Is there a comforter when you feel the most suffering in this world? Is there anyone who loves you when you do not love him? Is there anyone who will offer their hand when you fall? Or stop your heart from aching and breaking? Can you think of anyone like this, from whom you can gain without giving anything in return?
Allah the Most Compassionate and Merciful will always accompany you. As long as you believe in Him. He is the One who will make your mood feel lighter and beat your troubles back; He is the One that makes the sun shine brighter and gets your spirit back on track. He is the light in the window when everything seems dark.
Do not be sad my dear brothers and sisters! If we are believers in God, then we all have a true friend. Allah the Most Compassionate and Merciful. Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim. When we’re out of ideas, surrounded by problems, and feeling totally alone, we’re not alone. Allah is with us. If we pray sincerely and strive to the best of our capacity, He will put light in our minds and hearts and help us from directions we did not expect.
May Allah (SWT) be with us every step that we take, May He guide us with each decision we make, May He help us when life gets rough, May He protect us when we fall, May He hear us when we call, May all our Dua’s be accepted, May we always be in Allah’s loving hands. Ameen!
"And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah then He is sufficient for him. Indeed Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a decreed event. (Qur’an 65:23)"
